You May Have Heard – Rachel’s Update On Her Accident April 2025
You May have heard that Smart Step’s Director – Rachel Johnston had an accident 13th April 2025, she has been Bed Bound, House Bound and Unable to Walk it’s now over 3 months POST TRIMALLEOLAR FRACTURE WITH DISLOCATION SURGERY. Unfortunately she is still unable to walk and still in her AirCast. Next appointment is next week 16th July 2025 to have another X-Ray to see if the Fibular bone has repaired and fixed. If so, she will be able to start learning to walk without boot, but will see as she is in a lot of pain and cannot put foot flat to the floor upright.
She has early stages of arthritis and nerve damage, not be able to tip-toe fully or wear her lovely collection of high heals / stilettos!
It is a long journey ahead and wont be able to walk unaided for up to a year!
